I’m proud to announce that one of my latest projects, a full feature film titled Holy Rollers has been accepted to Sundance 2010! It’s my first real film project and I simply cannot wait to show you all what I’ve done.

Stars Jesse Eisenberg (Adventureland, Zombieland), Ari Graynor (Fringe, Nick & Norah’s), Justin Bartha (The Hangover, National Treasure).

The movie is based on a true story set in the late 90’s where drug dealers used hassidic jews to smuggle ecstasy into NYC. It follows the story of Sam Gold (Jesse Eisenberg) as he gets sucked into this world, leaving behind his strong family roots.

Most of the music I worked on was 90’s club music, which was a bit of a change but very rewarding. 909 + 707 +TB303 + minimoog + MS10 = good times

I found some of my very very early remixes pre-dating RAC. Most of this stuff is from around 2003/04. For the most part I was just messing around and having fun with it. For the first batch I grabbed as many acapellas I could find on SLSK. The 2nd batch were official remixes done for the bands, however never released. My first ever officially released remix was in 2007 for The Shins, coincidentally also the first RAC remix.

A couple months ago I worked with 30th Co. to create the music in an online/tv ad campaign for ROUND 1.
I was pretty intentional with the cheesiness, which made it quite a fun project.

It’s in Season 2 – Episode 2 at around 19:28. I would have loved to post the video of it, but in typical TV channel fashion, they only have the latest 2 episodes up online. I guess they shouldn’t act too surprised when people torrent it all. At least put it up on hulu or their site with ads. DVD is a dying format, get over it.
